We are easy to find and our onsite facilities are second to none.

Welcome to the home of British harness racing in Wales. Hosting the biggest race nights with the best atmosphere. A night at Tir Prince raceway really will be an occasion to remember. With multiple on-site cafes and bars, we have everything you need for a great night out.

As well as our race nights, Tir Prince is home to our famous market. We have hundreds of market days throughout the year, with parking available for over 1000 vehicles on our newly built carpark. Our outdoor mega market has stalls selling everything you could possibly want, and more. To find out the dates for our next market day, and for information on how you can book a pitch, see our Market page.

Tir Prince leisure group also own and operate 5 arcades and the Funland Amusement Park.

Our arcades and funfair are all cashless and we use the same fun card across all the sites. This means you can go between any of our locations to play games and top-up your cards. The funfair has rides suitable for small children, and adrenaline inducing rides for bigger kids and adults. With food and drink kiosks, and prize stalls, its easy to spend a full family day out here. Our arcades have all the games you’d expect to see in a modern family entertainment centre. You can spend your time playing our classic 2p pushers, win tickets on our numerous redemption games, grab a prize from one of our crane machines, or battle it out against your family on our air hockey tables. Each of our prize shops has different prizes, so if you don’t see something you like, chances are you will in one of our other arcades. It’s a fun day out for all the family.

The Beginnings

The late Billy Williams, father of current Tir Prince Director Adam Williams, set up Tir Prince thirty years ago.

Billy was a driver himself – he became interested in Harness Racing in the 1950s whilst working at Pontins in Prestatyn where there was a track. He loved it so much that one day he went to the races in his Ford Cortina, swapped it for a horse and walked home with the horse! He’d fallen in love with the sport.

Tir Prince was a derelict piece of land in 1990 when it was constructed and we now hold 9 races a year including all of the prestigious BHRC Classic Races, The Billy Williams Memorial Crock Of Gold Series which is for the best horses in The UK and Ireland, The NWHOA Championships, Le Trot Races for Trotters imported from France and many more.

There’s big prize money on offer and we hold some of the richest nights in the sport.

Why not join our visitors from all over the world and visit Tir Prince and enjoy first hand our great famous leisure attraction!
