Saturday Night (17th June) saw some of the best racing ever seen at Tir Prince and a bumper crowd was in attendance. The sun was blazing down and the racing surface was in perfect condition! The 9 Races were all competitive with some very exciting finishes but the undoubted star of the show was Miraculous. This 4 Year Old Gelding is still a very young horse but he mixed it with the best horses from The UK and Ireland on Saturday and came out the victor in a race that he really was entitled to lose considering that he was drawn 5 on the gate and ended up towards the back of the field at the start. He proved that he can win from anywhere in the top class races and doesn’t need things to fall his way to win at the top level. He has now automatically qualified for The Crock Of Gold Final and is allowed to win one more heat before becoming ineligible to run in any more of the heats. The remaining heats are to be run on Saturday 15th July, Tuesday 25th July and Saturday 19th August.
